Bargain Airline Specials - 3 Tips You Can Use to Slash Prices on Your Next Flight!

When flying it is important that you do your research and get the bargain airline specials that are available. What I bet you do not know is that if you know a few tips and tricks you basically have the power to name your own price. Here I am going to share with you 3 tips including one killer tip that I use to save hundreds of dollars on each flight!

1. The first thing you must do is fly at times that no one else wants to. This can be a great way to get deals on airline travel because if the demand for that flight time is not there, then the prices will have to come down in order to get people to fly. In addition to this if you are able to fly standby and get one of these flights you can really save a ton of money.

2. Contact the airlines to get specials. Bargain airline specials are often not advertised because of the costs associated with doing a massive advertising campaign. This works to your advantage however because often times all you have to do is contact the airlines at the right time in order to get a great deal. Typically the best time to contact the airlines is shortly after midnight when the systems have been updated.

3. The best thing that you can do in order to get bargain airline specials is to make sure that you know someone who currently or formerly worked for an airline. Often times these people will have great insight on how to get really great deals on airline travel, and you can benefit from this. This is the method that I used in order to save hundreds of dollars on each flight!

How to Save Money on Business Travel

If your work involves a lot of travelling, and you are not lucky enough to have an unlimited expense account, then you will most likely want to keep your outgoings to a minimum if you are to get the most, financially, from your road bound endeavours. Here are some tips to help you save money on your travels:

Avoid luggage fees. The most obvious way to do this is to travel light, and only carry around hand luggage if possible. However, if you are going to be away for a while, or need to lug samples around with you, then you can avoid luggage fees by simply avoiding airlines that charge fees for luggage, or by travelling in business class.

Advance booking is much cheaper. There are some great deals available online if you book far enough in advance. If you have a travel plan in place, do not hesitate to get your flights sorted out, as the longer you leave it, the more expensive it will be.

Cook your own. Save money on expensive cafes and restaurants by staying in self service apartments. By cooking your own food, you can eat well and save money too, which is great news if you have a fixed meal allowance, as you can keep the money you save for more important things.

Get the bus or the tube. While this may not be an option in more remote areas, most major cities have reliable public transportation systems that can save you both time and money, as well as giving you more of a feel for the area.

Save money on those internet bills. The airport Wi-Fi service may be handy, but it could be costing you a fortune. Get a mobile internet connection instead, or use the free Wi-Fi facilities available in cafes, libraries, and business centres.

Avoid valet parking. Restaurants and hotels are always keen for you to use their valet parking services for one simple reason: they make a packet out of it. You can save a lot of cash just by parking the car yourself.

Get the smaller hire car. Most car hire centres will offer you a mid sized car as the default option, but if you opt to go for their smallest car, you can save a heap of money, and you might even get a free upgrade if they have run out of the small ones
